God Looks Upon the Heart
by Joyce C. Lock

God reaches down to love you
When no one knows your name.
Whether in a pool of blood
Or a mountaintop estate,
He loves you just the same.

The appearance, on the outside,
Says nothing of the heart.
With the potter's clay
And the Master's touch,
He gives a brand new start.

God saw, from the beginning,
A diamond in the ruff.
Knowing who would wear
And uphold His name,
He could choose whom
He would love.

Glimpses of God

I love them that love me; and
those that seek me early shall find me.
