Just Sitting Backby Paul Leaman
It's been raining all day long,
Yet in my heart, there is still a song;
The sky is gray, and I'm a bit blue,
Grass is green and the plants are too.
For two more days it's going to rain,
Been some what dry so I can't complain;
I guess this rain is better than snow,
But I'm not feeling too well you know.
At least I'm not in the mud as before,
Thank God for that, for mud I abhore;
I use to work outside, all day long,
But now I'm retired and not too strong.
I leave that work for the young to do,
And less strenuous things do I pursue;
Like a good book, or time in prayer,
Or just sitting back in my easy chair.
