Live Forever, That's not for Me
by Paul Leaman

Life is slipping, slipping by,
And oft I wonder, I wonder why?

Time goes slow, yet goes so fast,
But would I really, want it to last?

Would I want to live this life forever,
The sin, the pain, the shame - no never!

Would I be content, here on this globe,
To live here always, in this fleshly robe?

Yes, there is much to be desired right now,
And we all cling to life, somehow.

God gives us a desire to live and not die,
And to our family, hate saying goodbye.

We love the beauty of this natural earth,
Times of joy, and times of mirth.

But to live here forever, that's not for me,
I long to be with Jesus, with Him, ever to be!
