Am I Intolerant?
by Paul Leaman

"Someone said, "I have a problem with those
who think they have found the only way to God."

Am I intolerant when I say
I believe God's Word today?
Am I wrong to believe it's true
am I a bigot, my friend to you?

Do we not all have the right
to believe as we might?
To this you would assent,
excluding others, you resent.

That's the thinking of today
tolerance in every way.
Yet, Christ said, I am the way...
that my friend is no cliche.

No man cometh but by Christ *
this is true, anyway it's sliced.
Christ, who died and rose again;
He gave His life and took it up again!

Can another say this my friend,
can anyone save, but God in the end?
No, for Jesus was God and man,
all in accordance with His great plan.

Yes, I have to say it, for it is so,
Christ died for you long ago,
And the only way to God, it's true,
is through God's Son, who died for you!

Today across our land
there are few who will take a stand,
They are afraid they might offend
the faith of others in the end.

But I tell you as plain as I can,
and it's been true, since time began.
You must do God's will in God's way
and Christ alone - saves today!

Maybe you don't believe today,
because you love your sinful way.
Maybe you think somehow you'll get by,
and you'll be ok when you die.

You better make sure my friend;
may God help you to comprehend.
For death will come at last,
and it's coming yes, coming fast!

*John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
