Christmas Lights
by Joyce L. Blume

The Christmas Lights tell the story,
of a love that lit the world.
The colors are reminders,
to every, man, woman boy and girl.

The red ones stand for the blood shed,
of the Saviour born that day.
White lights stand for the bright, clear star
that lit the Shepherd's and Magi's way.

The different shades of Blue lights,
are the many colors of the sky,
They tell of peace and His soon coming,
to gather out His own, by and by.

Shades of yellow lit up the skies,
to usher in this special dawn
And Purple stands for Royalty,
of this special babe in a manger, born.

But you never see Black lights
hanging on a Christmas tree.
For they would not shine unto the world
And the way, no one could see!

Lights of many colors shine,
in places all along the way.
Speaking out everywhere as if to say,
"The Christ child was born on Christmas Day"

Millions of lights shining over the world
telling the story to everyone,
To look unto their long awaited Saviour,
For He is truly God's only Son
