Embrace the Earth
by Brianna Burton

Shadows pass through me - and await their revival,
like a person who's trapped in another dimension
just waiting to get out:
it's like a seduction, more less a fight -
but a seduction is more settler than a position,
it's hard to fight.
You know I think of you -
it's my desire - I never stop.
It's like the grass never stops growing.
A shooting star never stops burning in the sky -
yes, it's true -
every bound romance burns fast and hot like a shooting star -
leaving no trace of evidence in the firmament -
just my heart.
The moon arises, slow but bright -
but in just a heartbeat -
it stopped, and stood still in the sky,
dark clouds surrounding it side-to-side,
it's like a feeling . . .
A feeling so unbearable,
it's like I almost fell,
yet when the dawn of the Angel's rise:
life's terrors will be at their end,
and a new beginning will be set to its limits.
