Comfort Me, Remove Them
by C. J. Clark

Comfort me, God Almighty,
for fallen angels have come to my side.
Remove them as you will
for they seem to believe that I was
going to be taken down by them.

Send your mightiest angels
to protect me.
Those who would do me no harm.
Rescue me and remove them, those fallen angels
from my life and from my home,
along with all evil spirits
those who did attack me in the early morning hours.
And sometimes, persist all day long.
Remove them, also, from my nightdreams.

Thank you, God Almighty, I feel better now.
Thank you for your love and the peace
you give us who come to you, especially
in our hours of need.
Teach me well.
Blessngs to you, God Almighty.
For as you restore my faith
I pray, I restore your faith in me.
