Psalm 6
by Paul Leaman

Oh Lord in your anger
rebuke me not I pray.
Be gracious unto me,
lest I pine away.

My soul is in anguish
O Lord how long?
Turn and deliver,
I can not long go on.

In your loving kindness
O save my poor soul.
I am weary with sighing,
and I groan to be whole.

Nights I flood my bed
I have found no relief,
I am weary with my groaning
and sorrow in my grief.

Depart from me ye scoffers
for the Lord has heard my voice.
All ye enemies be ashamed,
for again I rejoice.
