Things Are Changing
by Paul Leaman

Now at the end of summer,
the crickets begin to call.
Rain is very scarce
and soon the days of fall.

Vegetation is somewhat dry,
the grass is turning brown.
The flowers are looking droopy
in the garden all around.

The farmers in the area
have corn thatís standing tall,
the ears are on the stalks
but are looking rather small.

The kids are back in school,
yellow buses every where.
They donít walk to school as we did
back when we were going there.

Itís hard to believe that summer
is going by so fast.
Time sure doesnít stand still
and nothing seems to last.

Ah, but God is eternal
and his promises are sure.
He is always there for us
and in him we are secure.

Have you placed your faith in him,
do you believe in him my friend?
Itís okay that things are changing,
he will help you in the end!
