For Thy Bounty
by Paul Leaman

On this day of Thanksgiving
we pray unto Thee.
To God our provider,
we now bend our knee.

We thank Thee our Father
for thy bounty this year,
for the harvest of plenty
that has brought such cheer.

We have not gone hungry,
of a truth, we're well fed,
deserving only wrath,
thou dost give bounty instead.

O we thank and praise Thee,
and adore Thee today,
and for all this food before us
we humbly do pray.

Above all we thank Thee,
for salvation so free,
for Christ's own dear blood
shed on Calvary's tree.
