Seeking More Of God
by Paul Leaman

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me
thy glory. Exodus 33:18

When Moses saw the glory of God,
He begged that he might see more.
The man that has the most of God,
Thirst more for the God he adores.

We need faithful and fatherly wounds
That we might the more turn to Him.
Wounded with a sense of our sinfulness,
When our desire for holiness grows dim.

We need a wound of sorrow for the church,
As unbelief and wickedness creeps in.
Many churches are just like the world,
Watering down their doctrine within.

We need a wound of longing after God,
A thirsting and a hungering for Him,
Oh take us and crush our hearts Lord,
And fill us oh Lord, to the brim.
