And Jesus answered and said unto her,
Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled
about many things: But one thing is needful:
and Mary hath chosen that good part, which
shall not be taken away from her.
Mary hath chosen the good part,
That will endure and last always.
Mary chose to be near Christ,
There to admire and to gaze.
To look at Him with full faith,
To worship and to adore.
This pleased the Lord so greatly,
And this He did underscore.
What Mary had we should all have,
A life enraptured in Him.
Giving Christ our full devotion,
Never losing sight of Him.
Satan would have us so busy,
Yes, even busy serving the Lord.
We may think we're truly abiding,
But in truth, in the heart, He's ignored.
Oh sit at the feet of the Savior,
Spend much time just loving Him.
Don't be so very, very busy,
That your love for Christ grows dim.
