God Made The First Garden
by Paul Leaman

Sitting here, in a pensive mood,
As rain descends from above.
In my study, by the window,
Thanking God for His great love.

Planting of annuals completed,
Perennials bloom all around.
The grass so green and inviting,
The beauty of God dost abound.

It was God who made the first garden,
Walking there in the cool of the day.
I too can walk there with Him,
And commune with Him as I pray.

I thank You Lord for my garden,
For each flower that blooms day-by-day,
For the birds that sing in the garden,
For the squirrels that run there and play.

Thy goodness is overwhelming,
Thy beauty beyond compare.
Thy love through Christ, everlasting,
Oh that all, Thy love would share.
