A Plea For Your Soul
by Paul Leaman

How can I presume to pen
A poem to bring a noble end.
Can I at all hope to proclaim
that which glorifies His name.

Could my feeble thoughts insight
A turning from darkness unto light?
Would that God would take this rhyme,
To work in your heart and in your mind.

To turn you from your selfish way
To get you to think of judgment day,
Where in eternity will you dwell,
Will it be Heaven or will it be Hell?

Is there nothing beyond this life?
If you think not, you're in for strife.
You were made for eternity my friend,
Will you burn forever in the end?

Oh turn, oh turn to Christ today,
Please, from Him don't turn away!
He will save you this very day,
If you trust Him, without delay.
