What Shall Separate Us
by Paul Leaman

From Romans 8:35-39

What shall separate us from the love of God?
What's proclaimed in God's Holy Word?
Shall tribulation, distress or persecution,
Or famine or peril or the sword?

We may be killed all day long
And accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
But Christian, we are more than conquerors
Through the Son of our heavenly Father.

Not death nor life nor angels,
Nor powers present or yet to come,
Nor heights nor depth nor created things
Shall in anyway overcome.

Praise God, we can rest in Him,
And lean upon God's great power.
We are held in the pawn of His hand,
Our hope and our strong tower.
