There are times when life becomes very hard
And I find I'm in over my head.
Troubles flood my mind and spirit
As I lay upon my bed.
Then, I hear the Promises of the Father,
"Naught will over come you.
For, I will lift you up, in due time.
What I promise, I shall do.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing,
That I haven't sifted through my hands.
I have promises that are eternal,
For my spirit understands.
There is no wistful whisper or tear
That I haven't seen or heard.
I've heard your cry for mercy
And my heart is stirred.
Tomorrow is a new page.
Open it. I will meet you there.
There is a road chosen for you.
Travel it with trust and prayer.
The garden of your sorrows
That you have watered with you tears,
The echo of them as they fell,
Have traveled through the spheres.
They resounded through the heavens
And were received here, by my grace.
I've sent you some sun shine
To grow blessings in that place.
Tears and prayer have moved My heart.
My will is to lift you up.
In time, my time, you will see
The blessings to fill your cup.
No wave can take you under,
For my hand reaches into the deep.
For, nothing escapes my eyes.
Neither do I slumber, nor do I sleep.
Rest in my love for you.
This season will soon be past.
Trust me, here and now.
This trial will not last."
Thus, the Father spoke to me.
In His promises I can rest.
For no tears or sorrow can keep
My child from being blessed.
