Christmas
by Paul Leaman

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year,
Spending time with those we hold dear;
A time of laughter and a time of joy,
A time of gifts and lots of toys.

It's good to give to those we love,
To those we think the most of.
Christmas is the warmth of candle light,
Of Christmas trees with lights so bright;

Of mistletoe and gingerbread,
And all of us seem to be well fed.
Yet, Christmas is so much more,
but it is just that, that folks ignore;

It's the day we celebrate, indeed,
The birth of Christ, and of Him we read,
He came to this world, TO DIE IN OUR PLACE!
Oh the love of God and His marvelous grace,

If you just receive this gift of great love,
And believe on Him, you'll be born from above;
Remember, there is nothing you can do to win His favor,
Except, believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
