My Brother
by Paul Leaman

My brother means alot to me,
And yes, I guess he'll always be;
My big brother and my friend,
And always be, till the end.

As boys, we were always together,
We were, as they say, birds of a feather;
Today we live miles apart,
But always together in the heart.

On the internet, we keep in touch,
Just to see how we're doing and such;
We see each other now and then,
I thank the Lord, He's my brother and friend.

We were all raised, without the Lord,
In a home were He was completetly ignored;
No Bible reading or prayers ever said,
You could say, in our home, God was dead.

But the Spirit of God worked in us so,
And when we were grown, He let us know,
Our great need of His salvation,
And brought us out of our frustration.

We have trusted Christ now, these many years,
And He has freed us from all our fears;
With Jesus as Saviour, we're doing fine,
And in heaven, be together, all the time.
