Miss You Mother
by Martha Duke Manley

So comes the days,
the months and the years...
Even so quickly comes,
My fresh tears.

While thinking of the wonderful,
times spent with you...
Why, we even shared,
A friendship too!

I know that,
I'll never forget you...
And I'm thankful,
That our love was so true.

Also in my own self,
I'm oft to utter...
Oh! How I really do,
Miss you, Mother!

Written in memory of my mother,
Clara Cummings Duke
June 22nd. 1907-Jan. 18th. 1978
