The Rose, The Rose
by Paul Leaman

The rose, the rose,
God's beautiful flower;
It brings me joy,
Hour after hour.
I look at the beauty,
Of one dressed in yellow;
And think to myself,
What a beauty, this fellow.
Surely the yellow rose,
Is my favorite of all;
It shines forth, even,
When the day is dull.
The pastel purple rose,
Has it's own look;
Orange holds it's own,
In anybody's book,
But, I guess in the end,
I like the red, red rose;
We all have our favorite,
I know how it goes.
Looking at the red rose,
I think of Christ above;
Who shed His blood long ago,
And showed us His great love.
