America, Do You Still Stand? America, Do You Still Shine?
by Sandra Griffin

America, do you still shine?
Are your alabaster walls pointing to heaven?
Have you been devastated, or made better,
By the events of nine eleven?

Have you returned to
The God of your beginning
Or have you chosen, once again,
The open indulgent; bent to sinning?

Do you now Praise God
From your house tops, everywhere?
Can you shout, "He is Lord,"
Or do you even care?

Have you returned to a former morality
And the righteousness of the Lord,
Or have you forsaken His word
And trampled the blessings He has poured?

Do you stand in government halls,
Seeking His precious will for the nation's good;
On bended knees, in humbled gratitude?
Have we retuned to faith upon which we once stood?

America, do you claim a King,
The God of all, for your people;
From the white house to the capitol dome,
From the smallest to the highest church steeple?

America the beautiful, awake!
Too long you have forsaken
The beauty. Rest in the Father.
With sin you have been shaken.

America, you have unselfishly given much
To other places, beyond our shore;
in times past, for others less fortunate ~
the call to arms to fight their war ...

Is every life born, or in waiting
To be birthed in freedom,
Every child untouched with in the womb;
Every child not just some.

America, let not less than
Honorable men and women call us to sin
For what they perceive as separation
Of church and state, once again.

America, how I love you and ask
That your righteousness, once again, be seen
By a merciful God in the heavens;
Not hidden, unhaled, and unclean.

America, stand boldly.
Let God be true.
Raise His banner above your flag
And thank Him for His love over you.

Pray, America. Look to His coming.
Ready your people for a great homecoming parade,
To hale the real Chief; and may
In God we trust, your motto, never ever fade.

FOR ALL THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
TO KEEP THIS NATION FREE
TO LEAN UPON GOD
AND RECOGNIZE HIS DEITY ...

THEY HAVE SERVED.
NOW, LET'S HONOR THEM BY
RETURNING TO THE GOD
OF OUR BLESSINGS.
