by Paul Leaman

Pastors are special men,
They work for God, in the end;
They labor, to win His smile,
And often go the extra mile.

A good pastor, will do his best,
His mind, well, it doesn't rest;
Always wanting to please his Lord,
He labors hard, without reward.

He likes it when the church is growing,
And the blessings of God, keep a flowing;
When his people serve with a willing heart,
And all, with one accord doing their part.

But alas, when some folks start a leaving,
Others backslide, or stop believing;
Still others start to find fault,
And even make a verbal assault.

At such times, Pastors get discouraged,
They need God's help to be encouraged;
We can help with a word fitly spoken,
And our prayers for him should never be broken.
